UFC 250

Nunes x Spencer

Bye, Felicia

There’s no better time to get back to predicting fights than amid global chaos. It’s been exactly a year and a half since I last covered an event, but I can no longer suppress the insatiable urge to write something that literally no one will read. UFC 250 is pretty light (literally, with the average weight being 150lbs among all 22 fighters), but you can’t ask for much more during a pandemic.

Enjoy the new format and the fights.

THE MAIN EVENT

In unprecedented fashion, the underdog has won every main event since quarantine. Then this was scheduled.

Amanda Nunes (-650) x Felicia Spencer (+425)

for the Women’s Featherweight Championship

THE BANTAMWEIGHTS

Saturday night will also host a small bantamweight showcase – a division that’s currently without a champ. The Sandhagen/Sterling winner should be half of the upcoming equation, but there’s no doubt that a highlight-reel performance from anyone below will put them close to title contention.

Raphael Assunção (+120) x Cody Garbrandt (-150)

Cory Sandhagen (+100) x Aljamain Sterling (-120)

Sean O'Malley (-500) x Eddie Wineland (+350)

ODDS & ENDS

Neil Magny (-145) x Anthony Rocco Martin (+115)

Alex Caceres (+135)  x Chase Hooper (-165)

Brian Kelleher (+220)  x Cody Stamann (-280)

Alex Perez (-140)  x Jussier Formiga (+110)
