I love Fight Island – the logistics are fascinating and the idea is surreal. Using a pandemic as the catalyst definitely helps amplify how incredible and absurd it is to pull off a stunt like this. It may not be a mysterious remote island and nobody is going to be fighting to the death in the sand, but none of that matters. This is Enter the Dragon. This is The Quest. This is Mortal Kombat. Well, it’s as least as close as we’re going to get and it’s more than we should expect in our current hellscape.
